Serving on a board or commission enables you to play a role in consumer protection, advise on the implementation of laws and add your voice to public policy discussions.
There are lots of opportunities in a wide range of subjects. You don’t need to have a special background or expertise – most boards need members of the public to bring a common sense point of view to the discussion and decision making.

How to apply:
To be considered for a Senate appointment, please download, complete and return the appointments application found on this page.
In completing the application, please note the following:
- Make sure it is complete and that you provide written explanations as requested to the yes/no questions.
- An actual (not digital) signature on the form is required, so you will need to print, sign, scan the application and return it by email.
- You are welcome to attach a resume.
